Peninsula, a growth investment fund for businesses, was chosen by the Ministry of Economy in December 2015 to support the growth of medium-sized businesses in Israel. Its purpose is to make long-term investments (debt and / or equity) in medium-sized businesses with growth potential, that have a turnover of NIS 10 million to 130 million a year, whose business center is in Israel, and which are not engaged in either real estate or finance.
The fund offers its clients loans ranging from 3 to 10 years, based on a flexible collateral policy and with individual adjustments for each client, and provides a long-term financing solution with capital characteristics. The total credit per transaction can range from NIS 8 to NIS 45 million. The loans are awarded, inter alia, for the purpose of expanding factories and increasing production capacities, investment in marketing channels and the acquisition of synergistic businesses (competitors, suppliers).
The fund is managed by Zvi Ziv, former CEO of Bank Hapoalim, Uri Paz, former CEO of Bank of Jerusalem, Micah Avni, Founder and CEO of Peninsula and Eyal Lior, Deputy CEO of Peninsula. Together, they offer the fund's clients added value by bringing with them their many years of experience in the banking system, in investments and in commercial credit, and management of tens of thousands of small and medium-sized business accounts and in-depth familiarity with financing and credit systems. The total scope of the fund is NIS 450 million.
